Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been earned on hard courts
A comeback Medvedev secured his first championship for over two years with success over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open championship match.
Medvedev, a former top-ranked player, has endured a torrid period, winning just a single victory at the Grand Slams and undergoing a meltdown at the New York tournament.
The player's unpredictability on the professional circuit - and issues with his serving in particular - resulted in him falling of the world's top 10 and ultimately splitting with former trainer his previous coach.
Now working with his coach and his other coach, Medvedev has gradually advanced in the recent weeks - culminating in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over opponent Corentin Moutet.
This marks his first title following the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard court since that period of 2023.
Success also indicates the Russian has won twenty-one championships at twenty-one various events.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a competition with my two daughters at once, so to get a title is especially meaningful," said ranked player Medvedev.
"This victory is in dedication of my child her name, because the first title I got when my older daughter her name was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had lost his past six finals, featuring in that event earlier this year.
Medvedev's retrieving play style and frequent reactions on the playing surface had caused some to wonder if his skill to play at the highest level was concluded.
However the athlete has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, attempting to advance forward and compete aggressively, supported by an better serving game.
He recovered from a deficit in the initial set against the difficult Frenchman, taking four of the last five exchanges to go ahead.
Both players exchanged breaks in the middle set before the challenger, striving for his first tour title, took control to force a final set.
He saved 4 early-game opportunities in a competitive final set before the champion broke to that score to secure the win.
Suitably, Medvedev secured the title with a point at the net, with Moutet failing to control a return after a lengthy match.
